Whiskey Battery Reunion 2009

Meeting was called to order by our host John Smith at 0905 hrs. 

John Smith then led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

There was a moment of silence for our lost brothers.

Treasures report: Lt. Huslander reported that we were in the black with $435.00in the treasury.  The report was accepted by unanimous consent.

Col Richey reported that he had email correspondence from Dick Stroud regarding 3-9 & 12th marines reunions.

There was a discussion about Agent Orange and Medical issues related to our exposure. The VA has an Agent Orange Registry. The VA has apparently lost some records which has caused a problem for some in establishing that they were in fact exposed during their service.  The VA accepts testimonial letters as proof.Lt. Huslander said he would be happy to write a testimonial letter for anyone who served with him at Con Thien.

Date and Place of next reunion:

After some discussion the members voted to have next year's reunion on 17-19 September 2010, in Cedar Key, Florida. There was tentative agreement that 2011 would be in Albuquerque N.M., and 2012 in Northern California (Monterey Bay/ San Francisco Bay Area.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 1000 hrs.
